Meet the Team at Mike Koenig Construction CO. Inc.

Pete Schmoll – President

Pete purchased Mike Koenig Construction CO. Inc. in June of 2022. and now serves as President of the company. As President, he is responsible for overall company operations as well as estimating and Project Management. Pete’s background in construction goes back over 20 years and he has been a Project Manager for 17 years in the commercial, industrial, residential and agricultural fields. He has a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from UW Stout, which along with his years in the industry have helped him develop a passion and knowledge for the construction industry. 

Mike Koenig - Project Manager

Mike was the original owner and founder of Mike Koenig Construction CO. Inc. in 1981. He started with a few employees doing small projects and remodeling jobs. Since then, the company has grown to include a concrete and masonry crew, several carpentry crews, and a steel erecting crew. He is currently still with the company and brings with him 40+ years of knowledge and experience. His primary roles now include estimating and project management. 

Richard Peterson – Senior Estimator

Richard has over 24 years of experience in various types of construction. He has been estimating and managing commercial, industrial, and residential construction for the past 16 years. Richard is responsible for developing estimates, evaluating material and labor costs, reviewing subcontractor bids, coordinating construction activity, and project close-out.
